FROM here sarà un “laboratorio di emersione” dove emergeranno spunti, suggestioni e ritrovamenti.
Sarà un workshop che verrà svolto in Sardegna, più precisamente a San Pantaleo, dal 16 al 24 settembre 2015.
Questo primo appuntamento, un’edizione “0” delle future attività di FROM, viene proposta un’esperienza tra artisti in un piccolo paese vicino alla Costa Smeralda, immerso nella macchia mediterranea disseminata di reperti nuragici.
I visiting professor Linda Fregni Nagler e Francesco Pedrini, accompagneranno i partecipanti alla conoscenza del territorio, del paesaggio e delle persone che lo vivono, per arricchire le visioni e i contenuti del workshop.
I frutti di queste suggestioni saranno esposte in una mostra ogni fine workshop che accoglierà le ricerche nate nella settimana di lavoro. Saranno poi affrontate le strategie di comunicazione nei social media per promuovere il proprio lavoro.
Finalità e obiettivi del corso
Il workshop mira a fare una vera esperienza artistica legata al paesaggio primitivo delle origini in un territorio fertile di segni e impronte di questo ambito e imparare a lavorare in modo proficuo e professionale nei social network. E’ un esperimento che cerca di unire ambiti lontani in modo costruttivo, come l’origine e il contemporaneo, l’arte e la comunicazione.
Modus operandi
L’intento è raccogliere dati naturali, antropologici, storici, artistici e tradurli in due forme essenzialmente diverse:
Modalità analogica: a ogni artista sarà assegnato un taccuino neutro su cui il partecipante alla summer school annoterà suggestioni, dati e appunti.
Modalità digitale: attraverso l’aiuto di Davide Novali, gli artisti saranno guidati nella descrizione e nel convogliamento dei testi, dei disegni e delle immagini raccolte nei social network più idonei al lavoro svolto.
Base logistica ed appuntamento
L’ambito in questo caso è il paesaggio delle origini, atavico e primitivo, che si confronta con il contemporaneo.In questo senso la Sardegna diviene il luogo più fertile per scoprire, ricercare e dare forma a suggestioni ed esperienze.
Temi generali
- workshop della durata di 8 gg, ognuno aperto a 7/10 studenti.
- Ogni workshop avrà un visiting professor principale e incontri con personalità del territorio e altri artisti in visita. Ogni partecipante si prenderà un solo impegno, presentare la propria ricerca e parlare del tema di cui ha fatto ricerca, vivendo insieme al gruppo dei partecipanti e i docenti, almeno sette giorni, in un ambiente rilassato e suggestivo, ma con l’intento di condividere e arricchirsi dalle reciproche esperienze vissute nel corso della summer school.
- Ulteriori ospiti di alto profilo durante ogni settimana, i quali verranno a presentare il proprio lavoro e contribuire al workshop.
- Al termine del corso saranno messi in mostra gli elaborati del workshop.

nei social network più idonei al lavoro svolto.
FROM here will be a “surfacing laboratory” where new ideas, suggestions and findings will come up. This workshop will take place in Sardegna, in particular in San Pantaleo, from 16 to 24 september 2015. An experience between artists, in a small village near Costa Smeralda, located in the Mediterranean sea full of nuragic findings, will be proposed in this first meeting, a “0” edition of FROM’s future activities. The visiting professor Linda Fregni Nagler and Francesco Pedrini will introduce the partecipants to the knowledge of territory, landscape and inhabitants to add value to the workshop contents. The results of this suggestions will be exposed in an exhibition after each workshop, which will contain the research developed in the working week. Later, the communication strategies of the social media will be discussed to promote the own work.
AIM OF THE COURSE
The aim of workshop is to make a real artistic experience linked to primitive landscape in a territory rich of signs and features of this contest. Beside, another goal is to learn how to work profitable in social networks. This experiment pretends to put together different topics like the origin and the contemporary, the art and the communication, in an efficient way.
MODUS OPERANDI
The aim is to collect natural, anthropological, historical and artistic data and translate it in two different forms:
-Analogical mode: an agenda will be given to each artist, on which every participant to the summer school will write suggestions, data and notes.
-digital mode: thanks to Davide Novali’s help, the artists will be guided in the description and the analysis of the texts, pictures and images in social network, suitable to the work done.
LOGISTIC LOCATION AND MEETING
In this case, the topic is the primitive and atavic landscape, compared to the contemporary. In this sense, Sardegna becomes the best place to discover and give a shape to experiences and suggestions.
GENERAL TOPICS
- Workshop lasting 8 days and opened to 7/10 students
- Each workshop will have a visiting principle professor and meeting with local inhabitants and other visiting artists. Each participants will assume the task to present its own research and talk about the topic analysed. This project will be carried on living with a group of teacher and participants, at least 7 days, in a relaxing and suggestive environment with the aim to share and improve each own knowledge through the experiences lived during the summer school.
- other guests of high profile will come every week to introduce their own work and add value to the workshop.
- At the end of the course, the results of the work will be shown in an exhibition.
THE TUTOR
Francesco Pedrini and Linda Fregni Nagler will take the participants in an exploratory trip through time and space, analysing nature and its representation.
Davide Novali will support the artists in the description and the composition of texts, pictures and images, collected in social network, suitable to the work done.
